Colorado Deserves Straight Answers, Safer Streets and Lower Costs
I’m Shawn Bennett. Husband, Father, Deputy and everyday Coloradan. I’m running for Governor to bring back common-sense leadership and full transparency in how Colorado spends your money.

Meet Shawn Bennett
I grew up in Colorado believing that service, family, and hard work matter more than politics. For years, I’ve served on the front lines of the military and in law enforcement, protecting communities and standing with people in their toughest moments.
As a husband and father, I know the struggles families face with rising costs, schools that don’t deliver, and a government that too often forgets who it serves.
I’m not running to climb the political ladder. I’m running for Governor because I’ve seen the gap between government promises and real life. Too often, politicians play party games while everyday Coloradans pay the price.
I believe in leadership that tells the truth, fixes problems, and puts Colorado families first, not special interests.
Core Values:
Family: Decisions guided by being a husband and dad.
Accountability: Every tax dollar and every policy should serve the people.
Freedom: Protecting rights and opportunity for every Coloradan.
-
Phase out Colorado’s income tax while protecting essential services. We’ll cut waste, broaden the tax base through growth, and unlock new revenue streams without raising rates. Stabilize property taxes for families and seniors by capping volatility, requiring transparency, and ensuring voters have the final say on increases.
-
Deliver long-overdue raises for Colorado’s teachers, funded by cutting waste and growing revenues, not new taxes. Shrink administration bloat and invest directly in classrooms.Guarantee reading and math mastery, expand career and technical education, improve school safety, and give parents full transparency into curriculum and spending.
-
Put every taxpayer dollar online in a searchable dashboard. Line-item budgets, performance metrics, and total transparency, no more hiding where your money goes.
My 9 Pillars: Colorado’s Plan for the Future
-
Drive growth with Cannabis 2.0, sports/outdoor tourism, and tech innovation zones. Build revenue and jobs without raising taxes.
-
End street camping by combining mandatory treatment and work programs with accountability housing helping people rebuild their lives while restoring clean and safe public spaces.
-
Prioritize legal immigration, end incentives for illegal entry, and partner with federal agencies to keep Colorado safe and fair for everyone.
-
Rebuild and maintain roads without raising taxes by ending wasteful spending, prioritizing high-traffic and rural routes, and making sure every transportation dollar actually goes to transportation.
-
Lower costs by cutting red tape, increasing price transparency, and expanding competition. Protect patient choice, support rural hospitals, and keep care decisions between patients and doctors, not bureaucrats.
-
Uphold the right to bear arms while making gun ownership more responsible. That means state-funded CCW training for law-abiding citizens and real crackdowns on violent repeat offenders.
Join the Movement. Lead the Change!
Most campaigns ask you to stand on the sidelines.
Not here!
When you step up with our campaign, you’re not just “volunteering.” You’re helping to lead a movement for a stronger, freer Colorado. That means we trust you to act, to solve problems, and represent our vision without waiting for permission.
This isn’t about red tape. It’s about real action. And it starts with you.
Our Empowerment Promise
Every member of this team is empowered to carry our mission forward. We don’t sit on our problems, we solve them. Here’s what that looks like:
No Red Tape: If you see a problem, fix it. Don’t wait.
Every Voter Counts: Every interaction matters, big or small.
Yes First: If it builds trust and connection, the answer is yes.
Ownership Culture: This campaign belongs to us, not just one person.
Ways to Lead:
We’ll plug you in where your energy and skills make the biggest impact!
Community Captains: Own your neighborhood or county. Host meet-ups, connect with voters and be the face of the movement in your area.
Campus Leaders: Lead the change on college campuses. Organize peers, launch conversations and represent the next generation of leadership.
Event Hosts: Set up town halls, house gatherings, or listening sessions. Bring people together to share ideas and shape the campaign.
Digital Drivers: Create content, share updates and engage with voters online. Spread the word, spark conversations and grow our reach.
Ground Team: Knock on doors, pass out signs, staff events and connect face-to-face with the community.
Ready to Lead?
If you’re tired of being sidelined in politics, this is your moment to step up. Take ownership. Be part of a campaign that trusts you to make a difference, not someday, but right now!
